Habits for Better World

Habits for a Better World is a non-profit organization project run by Karel Vredenburg and Carly Williams, involving 300 volunteer researchers who are using the power of research, design, and filmmaking to inspire behavior change for a better world.

The project is currently in the generative research phase and focuses on identifying atomic habits that can be adopted across various streams, such as climate change, human suffering, biodiversity loss, animal suffering, food insecurity, human health, and generative AI.The project is currently in the generative research phase.

2024-2025

My role in this project

My research is centered on generative AI, where I collaborate with a group of like-minded researchers within the Habits for a Better World group. In this role, I help guide the team, and contribute to the research itself.

Our primary goal in this project is to investigate potential atomic habits that can be adopted in the AI space for a sustainable or potentially regenerative present and future. We believe that small changes made collectively can have a significant impact.

W.r.t Gen AI…

Currently, we are in the process of developing a foresight methodology specifically for generative AI teams. As AI has been rapidly advancing, it has become a challenge to track the habits formed around it. Therefore, we aim to establish a foresight approach to address these challenges moving forward.
